I'm by no means a tire expert, but I am LOVING my BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW 2's.
Link to tirerack.com That link should take you straight to 225/40/18. I'm sure you could get away with 235/40/18 without issue though.

What are u usein the tires for track or daily driving? What kind of tire u looking for? Max performance summer or all seasons? Or track tires. U can try Tires.com or wheelmax.com for other brands that they have.

Not me they are noisy as hell. Grip is no better than our stockers. Dunlop Direzza sport Z1 star specs or Yokohama advan AD-08 would be my choice.

Guess I'll throw my oddball word in and say I like Eagle F1 GS-D3s. Suppose those are kind of expensive though if you think KDWs are high.

I use the Nitto NT 05's in Solosprint competition (1st in class so far) and Jay Fram (2nd) are running the Dunlop Direzza Starspecs. Both are street tires.

I used to buy expensive tires... then I discovered: you pay $700-800 for them and they wear out just as fast as a cheap tire...
so then I started buying Kuhmos for my cars, considering I can get two sets of them for the price of one set of the higher end tires, its the way to go... especially considering two sets of them will last FAR longer than one set of the higher end tires

The cool part about summer tires is that you don't care about snow traction. Just find whatever you can afford and use them. They're summer tires (dry/wet roads) so almost any tire will work well.

Falken Azenis RT-615 in the 235/40/18 size on stock wheels. They hook good, and although I haven't taken them to the track yet, my buddy ran them on his STi on the road course and they were great

What about a tire that lasts a looooong time? I commute 70 miles a day and I am tired of tires that last 15k miles. Anything specific? Also, will the 235s last longer for any specific reason? Do they look too big?

If you want longer treadlife, you will need to look at a harder compound, preferably an all-season that is designed for performance. In that category, I have earmarked the Bridgestone Potenza RE960, Continental ContiExtremeContact, and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. These are all all-seasons designed for performance applications. They should last longer than 15k miles in normal driving. Summer tires rarely last very long because of their intended application.
