Clicking noise from drivers rear wheel

Hey guys.....I am getting a weird clicking noise from the drivers side rear wheel with each rotation of the wheel but I only get it when its raining/wet out. Also when I do get it....it stops when I apply the brakes so my first thought of a bad wheel bearing i dont think applies altho not sure.
Any thoughts?

Your pads are vibrating, I had the same problem.

Mine started doing it after I got my Winter tires mounted. Been driving me nuts.

Mine clunks more than clicks and goes away with slight brake application.

Was starting to think it was my wheel bearing.

Same here. Mostly when cold and wet out.

It is the brake pad.. Check your brake pad thickness, mine were still decent but I ended up replacing them and the noise is gone.

I think part of it has to do with our craps rear calipers.

Someone mentioned vibrating pads.....any fix to this....so strange tho that it only does it when its raining/wet out....

I've been having the exact same issue for a while now. Kind of glad I'm not the only one, lol. It mainly happens when it's colder and/or, like you, when it's raining.

Think I found the issue. Worn wheel bearing. Causing run out so the rotor taps the pads.

If you have a LNF replace all the hardware for the caliper. There is an anti-rattle clip and rubber pieces that wear out and can cause strange noises. Its a cheap and easy fix.


Go on rockauto and order on of the following:

ACDELCO 18K1848X {#19264058}

which rubber pieces? The rubber boots around the piston, Yes.


But the rubber in the kit I posted, no. That helps with the alignment of the caliper.

If you need a front lnf wheel bearing, I have one for sale. Brand new timken from zzp.
