well for smog...it dont matter after the cat...but for police authorities...it depends on how loud it is

side exhaust is fine...as long as all the emission components are still there....i know...i just finished SMOG school....and the muffler is not part of emissions

man looks like im just going to have to find a smog tech who will turn the other way on the visual if i drop him a few bucks

You don't need to do that....
Just have them do a pretest and see if you pass...then you can go ahead. I can almost guarantee that they will NOT see the DP difference! Other pipes..sure but they will MENTION something first in the pretest.

well the visual would also include looking at my aftermarket intake and charge pipes. i can see a tech not familiar with the ss/tc not thinking anything of the charges pipes, but the intake is pretty obvious.

Like I said, I had Injen short RAM on my Camry SC and NEVER had a problem.
Go in with stuff on and ask them to PRE-RUN you (trial run) and see if you pass the sniffer/obd. They will tell you ahead of time if the pipes are a *problem*...ask them!
They're not going to run the car and have you *pass* the trial run and THEN fail to tell you that you WON'T PASS the visual...get it?
