Loud whine from driver front wheel possible wheel bearing?

so i drive my car alot and over the past few weeks i have noticed a rather annoying whine which sounds like a wheel bearing but i wouldnt know being i have never had one go out before. its not trans or motor related being i can get to 50mph and put it in neutral and its all the same. the sound doesnt get any louder if i turn one way or the other its all the same. No vibrations just this noise. very noticeable at all speeds doesnt seem to get worse or better when i brake or speed up it just gets louder as speed increases. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Just replace both wheel bearings.
They are SO easy on these cars and are cheap parts.

A way to test it is to go around some bendys somewhere. If it is your right wheel bearing for instance, then when you turn left I believe it should get louder. If you turn right then it should get quieter. Or it may be the opposite. Either way if you turn your steering wheel left and right while you're driving it should get louder then quieter. That's how I diagnosed mine and it was the wheel bearing.

Going 150 will make it go away by making your wheel bearing break and make the whole area fall off

I have the same problem. Don't replace the wheel bearings, I've replaced mine and it didn't fix the problem.

My best guess is the brake pads are slightly touching the rotors, causing the noise. If I jack the wheels off the ground and spin them at a decent speed I can hear a slight scraping sound from around the brakes.

New or rebuilt Brembos would be the next thing to try but too expensive for a guess-fix for me.

Both times I had bad wheel bearings on previous cars, i didn't have any whining. I had vibration and behind the bearings, on the knuckle was a pile of fine rusty metal.

it was not my wheel bearings you were correct in it being my brakes, replaced both wheel bearings and still makes noise so next up is a piston rebuild kit from crate engine depot and ill just rebuild the pistons and seals on both sides, hopefully that will remedy the problem

If your still hearing the noise after you fix the brakes, another thing to look at would be the intermediate shaft bearing.

that would make sense since after i fixed the wheel bearings it got somewhat quieter but you can still definitely hear it, and it seems more central like its central like an axle bearing or like you said intermediate shaft bearing would make complete sense.

I had this same issue it turns out it was a bearing in the tranny. Had 36k miles on the clock when it happened got a whole new tranny from GM because they didn't have any bearings to replace the bad bearing so they replaced the whole tranny. Took them 2 weeks.
