DP questions

Sorry , but I have looked all over then site and found nothing but negative things about Hahn's downpipes. I am looking for a catted DP to go with ,my stock exhaust, gms1 and k&n SRI.

I wanted Hahn because I order from modern performance. Fast shipping due to my location and they are a great company.

I have heard lots of great things about turbo xs also. Help me choose?!

Looking to spend $305 the most

Hahn's downpipe is excellent. Not sure who is complaining about them.

I don't remember anyone complaining about Hahn's downpipe, except the price, which has apparently come down.

yes I agree^ from what i have heard Hahn is the best on the market hands down, as far as quality of build and performance, but their is nothing at all wrong with ZZP, I have a 3'' ZZP catted, and its awesome, but for you I'd say go for the ZZP, and considering your turbo you can go with the 3'' and have no issues, and as far as catted goes, thats up to you, because the cats flow really well so it depends if you want to be legal or not. And a side note, i would also get bigger turbo hard piping, my buddy installed bigger piping to his TC and it is worth it! just my 2-cents

Anything is better than the stock plastic piping.
As far as down pipes, it's all up to you for which brand you want. I personally have a cat-less Turbo XS on my car and have no problems with it. Got a good deal on it and couldn't say no.

People say that Hahn downpipes sometimes throw a CEL. Just a heads up.

That was the main reason I went with a Turbo XS catted dp. The other being that the TTR guy, I think his name is Aaron, is all over the forums offering advice, and was also super fast and helpful during my ordering process. I'd much rather buy from the vendor that's actively supporting the community and is willing to work a bit for the sale. Of course this would also apply to ZZP as well.

i will let you know on saturday how the install of my hahn 3" DP goes! fitment and what not.

what everyone else said, its all really up to you. seems like ZZP and Hahn are the way to go. i havent herd nothing terribly bad about either of them besides hahn for the price. if i would have got a deal on my DP i would have prolly gone with ZZP. but as i was looking at my Hahn DP last night it looks like the thing is built damn well,Stainless pipe, welds looked good too but i bet the same goes with ZZP's DP as well.

Hahn catted is the only one that I know of that consistently never throws codes. All the other catted downpipes risk throwing codes on stock or GMS1 cars. Everyone else has O2 bungs that are too long or too short.

My TurboXs catted D/P arrived yesterday. Install on Saturday.
Shipping to Canada sucked, but meh. Sure looks good and quality seems top-notch.

I got ZZP catless with extended 02 bung, drove it for 2 months with no tune and never threw a CEL. I live in Cali with strict emissions, I just put my stock one back on before going in for the State Inspection. It's not that loud either.

the stock cat back is 2.75 inches i believe. the stock down pipe is 3inch with 2 cats. 2.5 is for the supercharged SS's. get a 3 inch DP,it will bolt right up to your stock cat back

I've had my zzp catted for about a month now seems great so far no codes yet even ran a track day week after I got it, however I did have to drill out the bolt holes on the rear flange as it didn't want to slide over the studs easily enough.

bought the zzp catted 3inch dp and i love it. No problems. It threw a c.e.l. two weeks after i bought it but io think carbon got caught up in the sensor when the ecu was figuring out the change that took place. Took my car to about 120mph on i-95 and the code was gone and hasnt returned. Fits great with the stock exhaust. under 280 shipped.

if you have a turbo cobalt the 3 inch is fine with the highflow cat. You can get the gaskets if you want but you dont need them. Thats all you need. The pipe, the cat and thats really all. you dont need the second o2 bung. Then you can send your old one in for 50 dollars store credit to go towards the exhaust. Just get the prepaid shipping label
