New SS/TC cranking, won't start!!!
I just picked it up last night (one of the silver ones in western NY), drove it around a bit (gently, of course). I must have shut it and started it 3 times during the evening, no problems. Then, this morning, I try starting it and it just cranks and cranks. No hint of firing. No smell of gas out the exhaust.
I called OnStar to see if they could get any diagnostic codes, and the rep. said the car has to be running to get codes remotely. Not sure if that's true or not though.
I checked online for technical service bulletins, and I found one on alldatadiy.com for an HHR titled " 07-08-45-003 SEP 07 Electrical - No Start/Long Crank/MIL ON/DTC P0442/P0449". I checked all the fuses and relays in the engine fuse block, and everything looked good I believe.
Anyway, I've talked to the dealer and I guess I have to get it towed (I want it on a flatbed). I'm sure they'll take care of it, but still...
Anyone have any knowledge about this problem or hear anything like it?
Thanks

hahaha... I KNEW I COULD BEAT AN SS/TC!!! Mine Starts!...lol.
Nah, that's mean, seriously, sorry to hear that man. I'd be pissed as **** having LITERALLY a brand new car and it already has a problem.

Cobalts are FLATBED only tows. Even AAA knows that.
Yeah, new as in just landed in the U.S. but that design has been used in Badass Opels for a few years.

I am NEVER buying another ******* GM! I am so sick and tired of this ****. Why can't the "greatest" country in the world make a decent ******* car that is well made and doesn't **** the bed right out of the factory. This is embarassing.
