Try a different dealer, also make sure the car is bone stock. Should be covered under pt warranty.

Porosity can be a problem with pretty much any block whether its lost foam, sand, die-cast, etc. It's why when designing a block there are usually specs on minimum wall thicknesses based on validation testing and statistical data regarding process, material, etc.

i've also heard that if a tthe foundry the metal is poured too quickly or when it's cooled too much it can cause micro bubbles to form in the cast and that can create a sponge like texture in certain areas of the block.

Keep me posted , I am in the process of putting her back to stock, I am all about paying to play, but not with something like this.
It started with a low coolant light. topped it off never thought anything of it .... yeah right...

My build date is 06/08. Ive had my low coolant light on twice in the early morning when it was cold. I parked it for two weeks over the christmas break when I went to WI and when I came back and I was low a good amount of coolant in the resovior tank. No one drove it so I topped it off and have been ok every since.

that's how i knew something was wrong before things blew.
