P 100 and P0011

P 100 and P0011

I have a check engine light on and when I scanned it it came up

P0010 intake camshaft position (CMP) actuator solenoid control circuit bank 1

P0011 intake camshaft position (CMP) system performance bank 1

Does anybody know what these mean if you do I would appreciate the help

its the intake camshaft position solenoid. typical on these engines. they are ~$40 and are an easy 10min fix.

had the same issue in my 09 G5. replacing the solenoid/actuator/whatever its called fixed it. its right on top of the valve cover. very simple!

np man. yeah super easy. happened to me around 40,000 miles. car sputtered at idle and almost stalled a few times (auto). I went to get the part from my uncle and the GM parts guy was there and he mentioned that they have been failing a lot lol

Bout nine times outta ten it's the solenoid but it also can be the wiring. From the factory I've seen a few cars not have enough wire installed leading to the connector causing the harness to pull on the connector breaking the wire inside. Just something to check if you put a solenoid in and it resets a p0010
