Its says "evap emission control system pressure sensor range/performance". Possible bad seal on the gas cap. Check it out.

Jacking this thread.

I've had the same code. Been throwing parts at it and nothing seems to help.

Fuel Tank Cap - ACDelco GT283

Replaced Valve Assembly - ACDelco 214-1473

Replaced Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve - ACDelco 214-2230

Could really use some help here.

Thanks,

Jay

Would love some input on this.

I'm thinking of replacing the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor - ACDelco 13502903 next,
but would love to hear from someone on this...

There's an evap pressure sensor on the side of the charcoal canister behind the fuel tank. Based on what the code is saying, it would seem that it could be that.

You wouldn't happen to have the part number for this by chance?

You might also have to replace your canister in the back. There is a check valve inside it and it can get gummed up.

I believe the one I'm thinking of that goes in the side of the canister is the same one you posted up actually. At least it looks to be, based on what I can tell on part diagrams.

Sounds like this may work then.

Will keep you all posted when the part comes.

Guess this isn't an easy code. Seems there's a lot of things that could possibly be wrong.

That's incorrect. The MAP sensor you're thinking of doesn't have that green rubber seal, has a different part number, and also goes in the IM. This is the fuel tank pressure sensor (also a pressure sensor, like the MAP/TMAP sensors) that connects into the evap charcoal canister (#24 in the diagram).

Sounds like a boost leak, start a new thread in the problems sub-forum (include information about your cobalt and more specifially the issues in a numbered list, it reads easier). This is a 2yr old thread

Having this code and my car about dies when gas cap off when filling. Runs fine when with cap on. Do you think this is a diagnostic code on the pressure sensor before any evap testing is done by the car. Were is the tank pressure sensor is it under the tank or by charcole canister. Hope I can limp it until spring.

I didn't have a code but I had issues filling. Pump constantly clicked off when refueling. I changed everything. The canister , purge solinoid, vent solinoid and fuel tank pressure sensor. No issues since.
