USB HU help.

I have an 8gb flash drive, and I have noticed that some songs won't play (id3 tag requested error) has anyone ever had that error? I tried converting/renaming and I still have the same issue with a few tracks. Plus I have noticed that the HU won't read all the files, when I get to the U's they won't show up. I bought a 16gb flash drive and it still shows the same error and won't display all the songs. I have 721 folder that contains 1957 mp3s. Do you think I reached the limit of folders the HU can read?

yes try breaking up the mp3's like 500 a folder.

Also if the mp3 isnt labeled correctly it may get that id3 tage error. There is a program to edit mp3 id3 tags..you may need to try it on those.

For those files that give you problems

Download a program called tag and rename and just rebuild the file info

It's free for 30 days or something

I had two songs, that wouldn't even add to itunes it was a problem in the id3 tag

Good Luck

Thanks for the quick reply! I used itunes to convert all the songs. I will look online for an id3 editor. Hope that fixes them. How do you have your songs on your flash drive? I have mine set up Artist<Album<Song.

I figured it out. It was caused by the album art, I took the album art off then reloaded it, and it worked. Now I have to figure out how to simplify my folders, maybe just Artist<Songs.
