Weird **** happened today

2010 Cobalt ss hptuned started backfiring like a **** today. Idle speed decided to jump to 2000rpm for no reason whatsoever, throttle had shitty response but full power was still there. Full boost and zero knock. I pulled over at a gas station and disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, hooked it back up and now its running perfectly once again.
Anyone else ever heard of this anomaly before

Sounds like a possible idle air control/TB issue, have you ever cleaned it? It sounds similar to a fault my old car had, if I sat idling for a long time the car would basically go into reduced power mode when you tried to touch the throttle again to take off. Turning the car off for a little bit would clear it up, or if you tapped the gas every now and then when idling it wouldn't do it either, had to sit at a dead idle for a couple minutes straight.

Never figured it out, just dealt with it Was impossible to track down what was causing it, even logs showed it pretty much acting normal until it went into retard mode, at which point everything was off-kilter.

That's also your fault, and not gm's.

Where in that quote am I blaming gm
Point was with a stock car I very rarely have any issues or reasons to blame gm

Take it to a dealership and get them to price match OEM parts to the aftermarket prices that are going to be on the insurance company's estimate.
