Are bov's really that bad for the lnf?

I've been looking to buy an lnf for awhile now and I think I have found one that I really like, I plan on going to look at it next week but the owner gave me a list of mods that he has done and one includes a blow off valve. I've read many horror stories about the dangers of putting a bov on an lnf. He says a buddy of his installed it for him and that the opening on the charge pipe where the bov can be closed, is it really that easy to remove the bov and go back to the stock bpv or is the turbo already damaged from the use of the bov?

As long as it is tuned properly for it there is no issue.

I have a bov on my LNF and have for well over a year.

Ugh.

So he's basically been running the car with a huge boost leak for who knows how long.

Hard to say, but I'd guess there is some damage. If it's significant or not yet who knows. Have a shop perform a leak down test and then get that shitty bov off

Oh okay, but I guess really all I want to know is that if its worth going to look at the car or is it going to be too much of a hassle?

You'll spend $500 to make the bov work properly or $40 bucks removing it and blocking the hole.
