Went to the DYNO with BYT today and got my original BYT PCM updated. What a difference. Car is so smooth again. We did 2 different runs. One with the ZZP and one with the BYT PCM. My car has bolt ons. ZZP made 298HP and 340TQ. Very respectable from a can tune. BYT made 315HP and 360TQ. The difference in the numbers isnt much but the car is much smoother, better curve and everything is tuned perfect and it definitely moves faster. I didnt start this to bash ZZP. I love there support and my car is littered with their products. Their PCM seems great for a baseline. My car ran ok. Obviously if you tweeked it a bit to your car it would be fine. It is a general tune but still works well. ZZP is on top. What do you think?

Point of what? I went to a dyno today and thought maybe people would like to see a compare. Am I surprised, No. Maybe someone is bolted and is thinking of a ZZP PCM. Wouldnt you like to see what it can do. I already stated this is not to bash ZZP. In fact I gave there PCM Praise last I looked.

I didn't say you were bashing ZZP, I had their PCM when I first got this car and I was impressed for what it was.
I read it as you being surprised that the dyno tune made your car run smoother and made more power than your can tune. It's really hard to compare to two, know what I'm saying?

No big deal. Its cool. I understand your point. Like comparing apple to oranges. I didnt really tune my car today, I just put my old BYT tuned PCM back in and had it updated for 3 bar maps and K&N intake. Just so happens he was going to the dyno today and thats where I met him. I was trying to imply it was more of a relief that I had my old tune back. I had to buy the ZZP PCM cause I changed the Maps and couldnt get back to BYT right away. The car ran good but fuel trims were off etc. We dynoed the ZZP just to see what it would put down. I was impressed when he said it was 298. For someone with tuning capability this would be a great start with minimal tweeks for a great tune.

I didn't realize BYT was still around. I considered them once, but he stopped responding before I was able to set it up. Looking back, I played with 2 canned tunes. I used a Superchips tune, then a Trifecta tune ( yeah, I know ) The Superchips really woke it up surprisingly well, and the Trifecta even more so, but I lacked the education or the means to monitor trims at that time. Then I tried HP Tuners and 09CobaltSS1 from this board, what a huge difference! It took my car to a whole new level. I would highly recommend Aeroforce gauges or equivalent to track trims when you start getting tuned, my trims were way off.

Glad to see Nick is still tuning LNFs. I havent seen him since before the fiasco on here. He's a cool guy and I believe he's a really good tuner if your in the tristate area/ PA area. My original tune with him was 298whp/327trq @ 20psi, but his 24psi tune is definately better. What boost are you set at Dennis?
