time to get a new tuner. Vapor Lock won't happen on a FI car unless you park the car on planet mercury

Just pump the gas while you try to start it, open the choke a lil bit too.

Did your tuner say "vapor lock?" Your first post said you read it somewhere. If your tuner said it, you def need a new one. He's either making stuff up or is 80 years old.

P.S.

Most modern engines are equipped with fuel injection, and have an electric submersible fuel pump in the fuel tank. Moving the fuel pump to the interior of the tank helps prevent vapor lock, since the entire fuel delivery system is under positive pressure and the fuel pump runs cooler than if it is located in the engine compartment. This is the primary reason that vapor lock is rare in modern fuel systems. For the same reason, some carbureted engines are retrofitted with an electric fuel pump near the fuel tank.

Makes sense. I'll just deal with it for now. I guess I'll check the evap solenoid when I blast my valves...

10 mm socket and ratchet.

Undo the electrical connector. Remove the gray vent tube from the top.

Unbolt the one bolt holding it on. Blow into it.

I have done it 10 times maybe. It's as easy as checking the oil.

Changed mine tonight. Took 2 mins.

Cost for me was $25 CAD taxes in.

Hopefully it fixes my cold start issue. Had my first issue filling the other day too.

So went to try my first cold start after the swap. Started it, made the weirdest sound and found idle quickly buy still stumbled. Left for work it and something felt off. Scanned it and got a code for incomplete circuit. Pulled over checked and I forgot to plug it in... DOH.

Hopefully it's better now.
