You guys realize 6th gear is still just .71:1 versus the f35 at .70:1, right?

Get ahold of Matt or someone from ZZP. Is the le5 a f35 or f23? If its a f35 I would say yes. But again ask ZZP first lol.

All F23, F35 & F40 transmissions fits most ECOtec engines,
some modification need to be done to get the transmission to fit..
oil cooler, longer shift cables, etc...

Again you cant use a g6 tranny, different bell housing for a v6. Different gear ratios that are not good for performance, and a shitty final drive. All wrong. Why do you think there like 400 bucks and the good years 07-09 are 1000+.

Because this is the list on your website, The only trannys people want are the 07+ saab f40, once the regal came out they changed the internal ratios again back to the pre 07 models. 4th gear is already an overdrive.

direct from salvage yards here in US/Canada and also in Sweden & Germany.. many of the euro salvage yards sell trans a lot cheaper compared to US market.. sprechen Deutsch?

But some of the units come from the 12 Opel Astra GTC/OPC & 10 Opel Insignia OPC.. yes the GR are slightly different but found a place in UK that bought a ton of brand new spare parts from SAAB - so sourcing parts isn't hard now.. before I had to buy parts in pieces and salvage them together..

yep, I know everybody needs the 07 SAAB unit, but the problem is finding new parts..

Not one single place in the states has new F40 9-3 parts for SAAB trans, only one place in the UK and one in Germany.. so it took me 3 weeks to finally find a place that still has brand new SAAB parts..

Thank god - I still remember how to sprechen Deutsch!!!

To me, this gave me my car back, so much more fun to drive and will be taking out to the road coarse this summer to put it to the test.
That sound fantastic. What specifically improved with the driveability though?

Do you have the dual mass or Fidanza flywheel in your new setup? I've got the Fidanza in the F35 of mine right now, and have to keep it above around 2,000 RPM when cruising at part throttle or it gets cranky, like I'm bogging it. I'm guessing it's maybe too light...? Anyway, it's made me reassess a lightweight flywheel on the F40.

Did ZZP say anything about doing anything in particular to the F40s, or do they simply find one and slap it on or ship it with the kit?

I have the Fidanza Fywheel, I also had them install the Quaife LSD and from my understanding I am the first to do that for this setup. I had the Fidanza in my built F35 as well but not sure if mine was as cranky as you say you expierience. It is really smooth at around 2500, but I think this all depends on the motor you have with it, I am extreme with the S259 setup, which my boost really does not kick in until about 3900rpm. As far as driving, the main diffrence between the F35 and F40 seems to be high rev shifting, the F35 just seemed notchy and sometimes difficult to get into the next gear at speed, the F40 shifts easier without having to be so precise on clutch and shift engagement, when I shift at say 6500 to 7000 rpm, it goes right in. As far as driving, the car just feels so much smoother and with the easier shifting it seems you do not have to let off as much and you can get back into it quicker. When I talked with ZZP, I asked about a built F40 and they said right now their is no need, they find low mileage F40s to put in, but they will keep me up to date if they go towards building up the F40s.

Always the best route, and yeah it's the F23 sadly.
