Fellow GM tech assistance on GMS1

Wondering if there are any gm techs on here that have personally installed gms1 on a lnf. I was able to find info on how to install the new bar sensor but I can't find any info on gm si or tis2web programming on how to flash the gm tune. When you got the gm tune kit from parts is there any instructions? Do I have to go through techline to get the tune specifically for the vin? Any help appreciated. No one at my work has installed or even knew about the gms1 for the lnf.

I know there is a verification code that comes with the kit when you actually purchase it that you give to the dwaler but i dont know what they actually do with it

I believe you call the techline with the serial number, authorization code, and VIN and they will enable the appropriate part number for the calibration in TIS. I scanned these from my stage kit instructions:

Thanks, I appreciate it. I was afraid that would be the case. At that note, does anyone know the gm part numbers for the map sensors and pigtail? I think ill just have a guy at my work unlock the ecu and
flash gms1 if I can get the gms1 file from somebody since he could do it for $100.

Can't help you with that one. You have 2 other options as well, if you know anyone with hp tuners.

1. Get someone with hp tuners and a licensed 2008 gm stage tune to flash it onto you pcm.
2. Get someone with hp tuners to modify the linear settings for the MAPs on your stock tune then give you a custom tune.

Both of those options will cost around $100 to $200 but might be alternatives if you cant find a vin to get the calibration off tis with.

Cobalt, Solstice, HHR Stage Kit 19212670HK
I can get the kit from work for 500 and get free shipping. Im just trying to find the cheapest route possible atm. I would like to do a custom tune but there isn't anyone in the area I feel confident going with. The guy I work with has only done port injection v8's so even he doesn't want to do something custom on mine.

Do you know anyone with HP tuners software? If so, you can unlock your car for $100 on there cable. I can send you an HP Tuners file that is the GMS1 file. Just download it and install.

Also,
LNF 3 BAR MAP SENSORS

Those are the same sensors the CED sells. They use plug and plau adapter harnesses so you do not have to cut and soldier. These are the best way to go if you want to save money. The CED is so much more because it comes with the tune and authorization code.

That would be awesome if you could. I want to learn to tune myself so I can tweak the tune in the future to get the most of whatever mods I do but for now I just want gms1. Yea the kit I can get at work come with all the parts I need and the auth code to unlock the tune straight from gm. I am gonna get the map sensor kit from ced since its plug and play unless I can find the male connector for the stock map plug, if anyone knows what it is that would be awesome cuz then I can build the plug and play harnes with parts from work for like 40bucks. and get the two sensors for like 25 each, basically make the kit for like 90bucks or less

Did you see the link I posted?

You will be hard pressed to build your own for less than the cost of the kit I posted from OTTP.
