Flashing to stock from Trifecta

How would I go about going back to a stock tune from a Trifecta tune? I know I need to rent the cable; however,

A) where do I rent/buy a cable

B) wher do I get the stock file for my car

(Bought the car with the tune, want to go HP-Tuned)

EDIT: I now realize I probably should have posted this in the Tuning section. Sorry Mods. Move if required.

Well u can buy the cable from trifecta. Or borrow from someone. U need ur original tune file to flash it back to stock, if u know the previous owner, or contact trifecta see if they have it. The stock tune file is built into the tune file that is flashed into ur car

Go to GM and have them flash a stock tune.

Thats a good idea; however, would getting a PCM from like ZZP do the same thing? Just retune it immediately?

When you open the Trifecta software (available on their site) there's an option to go back to the factory tune.

Downloaded the software, obviously not hooked up to the car; however, not seeing an option to go back. Do I need to be connected to the car?

You still need the car's Trifecta tune file;
You might be able to request it from WOT - since your car is on their database, they should have no problem emailing you a tune file so that you can go back to stock.

There might be a fee - but it would invariably be less than what a dealer would charge you to put the stock tune for your car back on.

incase i'm interpreting you correct;
now that you have the file, you need a trifecta cable (you cannot use HPT to flash the stock/trifecta file to your car);
then you start up the program to flash your car;
select the trifecta file, then on the following window you select that you are going to flash the stock file.
be sure your laptop has a full battery, and that your car battery is good - needless to say, bad things happen when flashing and the connection is lost.
Same goes with HPT (afaik).
