the problem is everyone who professionally ports the lnf head will only work with a new head. Zzp & Pwerks specifically. I'm probably gonna get the ZZP head. It seems they have had the most experience on this head. I have a local guy(nick smithberg) who will do it but that will require a R&D test head or two which will be more expensive in the long run. I'm all about R&D but I think I'll leave this one to the experts.
Pretty damn good. I was just under 5sec 60-100 on stock turbo(420wtq) and 4.45 gears. Are you using 4.05s?

I dunno...I have equinox intake n exhaust with fueling lobe upgrade, phenolic intake manifold n throttle body spacer, k04r turbo (haven't put those in yet until transmission n clutch in 1st). Maybe getting TTR intake manifold or ported intake manifold and definitely getting 4.05 lsd transmission with it. I've heard great thing gmpp clutch n it does hold up 500hp from what I've seen some Cobalt owners surprisingly.

If u look at my 500hp dyno it has really smooth power delivery and only 427tq. The R is the exact opposite. Get the southbend

No that thing is silly 1/4 is way too much. A 1/16 would be good

I could go on for days about clutches. I wish I would've just saved my pennies and got a balanced Spec setup or the CM twin disc. KY twin disc also looks promising but heavy.
I've been running the KY stg 3 for 4ish years now. I've sent it back to KY to be serviced/remanufactered twice (for a fee) because of slipping but I don't take it easy on the clutch. 2nd gear burnouts, 6k sidestep launches @ 7psi on slicks, and NLS all the shifts. This last one they made for me now has an ET record and several 1.7 60' lunches under its belt. The clutch disc has two different materials on each side of pucks unlike the previous ones. In the end its a cheaper clutch, you get what you pay for. KY took care of me when I needed it but was a PITA to deal with. I just need a better clutch for what I do with the car.
Sry yelcal, just seen you said ky stg3(+)... It's a less agressive clutch than the regular stg 3 with less tq capacity and less bite.

I would hate to daily your clutch by the sounds of it......omiotec always said the balanced spec 3+ clutches were good. For drag I would imagine the twin disks would be the way to go but the trans better be strong.
The gmpp is a good clutch for the money but depending on driving style I'm not sure how long it will take the abuse. I put probably 15-18 passes on mine at the track this year along with 2nd gear burnouts and so far it's held up well. I'm not expecting it to last forever though.

Yes it can be done. There are several parts to change along with it. I've heard the trans itself will take quite a bit of power and is cheaper. The drawbacks are changing mounts, cables, adding a lsd and purchasing good axels as the f23 doesn't have as good of axels as the lnf axels were. So I've heard. They are cheaper to purchase outright though.

Well I caught the seller of the GMPP clutch and flywheel I bought and switched my order to just the flywheel as I found a KYS3 for fairly cheap.
So I'll be going that route.. only thing is he also has a 6758 with 5k miles on it and he'll sell me both the new KY and zfr for 1300usd
