Matt doesn't have full bolt ons but I do I'm just waiting for a new intercooler then I'll get dynoed I can turn off the meth for a run but I'll be on 94 not 93 can't get 93 here.

I'll do this in a week or 2 if that's ok. But I will post logs as soon as all my leaks are gone

So could we could send him a brand new ko4 and not have to pay for a core charge and it would be a little cheaper?

Yes it would just be $495 but then you have a spare turbo or can sell yours to get some money back. I don't know but maybe Matt will want to buy your turbo so he has another core never know

It's $495 plus a $150 core (unless you supply turbo) and shipping

But end of the day it's only $495 + X (shipping cost) I'm guessing it's around $40 for shipping around the states

Ya for sure as soon as I can get on the rollers I will. Matt is planning on it too so one of us will get a dyno up here soon. I was planning on doing a full review after I was dynoed then this thread was started so I just started sharing all the info I had

Cool. I'm at 23.4 psi and 308hwhp 340wtq. Semi conservative some would say. I'd love 335-345whp and 370wtq. Without destroying the powertrain. That's on 91 octane winter gas lol

So does this turbo need full bolt ons or anything like that? Or can it run on stock parts without a problem?

Ya you can run it but I'd recommend at least a tune because the car trys to make the stock 260hp without a tune so it would prob just run around 12psi instead of the normal 15psi.

What do you have done to your car?

Ya this turbo with the tune to get your fuel trims in check and increase boost would work great on your setup. You can easily run 24psi because it will do it more efficiently than the stock K04 because of the bigger wheel. I wouldn't recommend much more boost because I know the hot pipe and intercooler can fail. But remember at the same pressure vs the K04 the K04FTW will run cooler and more efficient.

So the intercooler and intercooler piping would be able to hold 24psi with this turbo without having any trouble?

I've heard of the intercooler failing and also holding up to 27psi. I have tuned a friend for 24psi with basically the exact mods that you have but yes stock intercooler and hot pipe. My friend is trifecta tuned on 23psi for years with no problems. The hot pipe usually fails from too much heat from the turbo to create that 24psi where this bigger wheel won't be as hot so that won't be as big of an issue at all

Interesting, So you send your core in and he remanufactures it to have a bigger wheel and then sends it back?

I'm sure you can do it that way but he has a core charge so you don't have to wait the build time.

If you do that you'll save the $150 core charge but the way it works is you pay $495 plus shipping and also the $150 core charge. He ships you a turbo you install it and then you send yours back to him and he refunds your $150 so that in the end you just pay the $495 plus shipping
