sooo final verdict?
Magical numbers pulled straight out of the manufacturers a$$. lol

A intake will not make a magical amount of power. If you're stock you will still have a learn down feature, and make the same power. If you're tuned, your car will benefit from a bit more air, but a retune might be needed to help with the fuel trims.

I vote k&n. Well made, and installs easily. Just make sure the filter itself is installed upside down with the metal rib at 11:00

Why does the metal rib have to be at 11?

to my knowledge no one has proved an intake will increase performance over a stock box, it just increases turbo noise. At some point I'd like to rent out a dyno and compare at least K&N and the stock with the zzp tube (which is what I currently run)

Lots of people had trouble getting the fuel trims right with the filter on the correct way. You can adjust your stft and ltft just by rotating the filter either way. The metal rib up seemed to always be the best option from what people were saying.

One of the posts.

Stock turbo, very little gain, if any. However, after moving to the K&N with my K04R, there is a pretty noticeable difference. Especially after 5500.

With stock airbox/ZZP tube and drop in, power would droop around 5000 and then recover. With the K&N, it just continues to pull smoothly. Picked up 8-10whp on the VD with what I'd consider a moderate ethanol tune (23psi, 20*, .88-.87) that was the same for both, aside from obvious MAF fueling changes.

With your K04+ I'd say there would be a nice gain as well up top.

See I didn't notice a drop between the K&N and the stock with zzp tube, it seems to still flow the same amount of air. Maybe I'll mess around with 60-100 times this summer since renting a dyno is most likely out of the question

What about treadstone? It's cheaper then all of them and has a much bigger filter and tubing.

The one thing treadstone really had going was the air straightener thing. I dont know if they actually pursued it or not.
