Need that HPFP! C'mon ZZP!

I would think that using Opels with a shorter pulse width would be the same as using the lnf injector with a longer pulse. either way it'll be lowering fuel rail pressure. and maybe having an Opel injector closing sooner because it flows more fuel, would allow the fuel rail to get back to full pressure quicker because fuel rail pressure isn't being bled off into an injector that's still open. but it seems like it's either the injector doesn't have a big enough window to squirt the amount of fuel (lnf), or the Opel can inject enough fuel in the given window, but the hpfp cant supply the amount of fuel the Opel's can flow. stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I remember reading that the new hpfp cars move more fuel but the hpfp cannot be fit to our cars. something about our hpfp being configured for 3 lobes and the new cars having 4 and the ecu cant read it. maybe I misread.

also, I saw the gmtech posted that you can modify the in tank fuel pump to increase base fuel pressure which helps feed the hpfp. you smash the 'hat' on the fuel pump to increase fuel pressure. someone did a write up on hp tuners.

thinking along those lines, couldn't someone get a bigger fuel pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and increase the base fuel pressure which would then help keep the hpfp pressurized more?

Don't forget that ZZP sells a fuel pump rewire kit that supposedly increases the flow of the in-tank fuel pump by ~10%.

I'm sorry but the info I have provided is fact backed up by logging many different cars on different setups. Opels lower pressure on 450hp+ cars

Yes. What the stupid thing is about this whole thing is ZZP doesn't say anything. What's the issue with telling us that they have 1 that they're testing how well it's doing and a ETA about the next update? The way the develop new products now is terrible. Didn't they post info about testing when the original ZFR was being developed?

I was curious so I checked out my dyno log. I was on stock injectors, lobe, E30 and around 900cc 80% meth. That came out to 511hp with an IPW under 5.5ms!

I asked Ryan for an update and they are still tight lipped about it. If it takes another year there may not be enough of these cars left to warrant them making a whole lot selling it. Shame someone didn't do it about 5 yrs ago.

On a side note, the LNF, LDK and LHU use the same HPFP so all the Regals, Opels, Malibus, Cobalts, kappas... would be able to use it.

I am definitely looking into it. It would be good for the community if I spent the cash because I could properly test at different E%s and share my unbiased opinion with everyone

I saw that Ryan. I was guessing that it was the same one you are testing.

Yeah that is the one we've been putting on the board for 8-10 months. It had to be modified to work fit, but we are compiling data to be able to make something work! I've been driving that **** out of car with lots of logging and different setting and the like.
