Just found this product from them, might work better if the lines are extremely close to the exhaust housing https://www.designengineering.com//c...ve-lr-technolo

If you're on the exhaust system those temps are possible but not recommended. Better to be on the safe side. Speaking of you should get a egt.

We're planning on doing that as well. Use a better quality hose, get it away from the exhaust housing, PLUS use the Cool tubes.

That boot is designed for head temperatures, depending not how you routed it the radiant tempts can be well over 700F

Good solutions guys. While we're at it has anyone else figured out something that others haven't that could cost you an engine if not done preventatively.

The good news with going to the drag strip is that you only go WOT for what, 13 seconds at a time.
I was talking with John Powell earlier today and he made a good point; track cars see roughly 1:30 WOT on a 2 minute lap, and a session is 15-20 laps.... that is a lot more heat than you will see under any other conditions.

In fact, I don't know any other Cobalts running a ZFR that are tracked. I think that is why nobody with the 6758 is having anywhere near the overheating issues I'm seeing.

My inlet Temps hit 120° some times, in the summer my area gets the same or higher then Death Valley. My drag strip is also not overly used not a lot of racers some days so I can do like 10 passes in under 4mins with some aggressive driving around the twistsy during the summer. I just know my poor car gets hot af some days lol she been good to me tying to keep her cool lmao

Then yes you are crazy. If I didn't race mine at all I would put it at 350hp and leave it alone. They are fun at 350.

I wouldn't do the back to back passes like you say especially if your doing a burnout because it's really hard on your clutch. 2 years ago I did 3 back to back passes on my lnf clutch and it's the only time I've really ever smelled my clutch. I could tell a huge difference in it for awhile driving it, figuring I glazed it.
