At 75k, why worry about the timing chain? I am about the same mileage but I cannot find a definite answer for when it is due to be changed.

2 words. Preventative maintenance.

X2 I believe it's 100k. Some people believe that timing chains last a long time but with stress on the engine all the time I don't want to risk it stretching and jumping a tooth. Also, I do believe we have interference engines so if it did jump a tooth that would be tragic.

Yeah I thought about it for about 2 days then I went through with it. Figured I'd do it now and it would outlast the car maybe lol, but hopefully my car last a good long time.

Ahh makes sense. I didn't realize that you would essentially already be in there.

In theory the chain should be good for the life of the car but I guess 100k miles is a good number to go by to keep the car running forever.

That filter is ignored by all. Mine was ******* disgusting when I got my sedan. The vents stunk like 30 year old dead bodies. I have no idea how the PO lived with it.

Made a miniature shift knob. I haven't heli-coiled it yet so if someone speaks up soon I may heli-coil it for you and sell it if you give me desired thread pitch.
