Opel Injectors

I ordered the Opel injectors and am curious as to how hard they are to install. It looks like you have to remove the intake manifold but after that, do you just undo the bolts holding the fuel rail to the block? I just want to make sure there is nothing special you have to do to remove them as they are extremely delicate.

You got it man its pretty much a bolt on haha nothing crazy, make sure to do it after the car has been sitting over night or pull the fuel fuse and let it die off. That pressure tho.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. I should be able to get this done no problem then.

Man that's kind of expensive for one little pipe. I wonder why it's supposed to be replaced once you remove the fuel rail?

Because they can easily get tweaked. They are a metal on metal seal. Ive done numerous lnfs without replacing it but your suppose to do it.

So the key is to just be careful. They look like aluminum which is pretty soft. I am doing the injectors this weekend so I'll find out.

iv done it twice without changing, I inspect and if it looks good I reuse. but every other time, like when I'm doing a bigger job, I just change it.

I thought they just pop out like everyone was saying but they take some force to get them separated from the block. I got it done but really head to pull on them and was super careful with the hardline to the fuel rail and everything looks good.

Yes, you have to pull very hard, and of course there's that razor sharp piece of the head there just waiting for your knuckles. A small pry bar with a curved end moved carefully a bit at a time side to side to keep them coming out even may be just the trick. LNF rail is no big deal because if the injectors pop out of the rail, you just put them back in when everything is removed, but those god forsaken Opel's have that delicate straw that likes to break......be extra careful removing and installing those
