Ported a LNF Intake Mani. 56k Beware

I had a customer come to me with an LNF who wanted his intake manifold done, I measured the factory intake ports @ 49.90mm, Stock the LNF intake runner opening was 46.68, after my porting/polishing the intake ports were at 49.53-49.60mm side to side, vertically each intake runner was opened up 1.35-1.38mm. Total gains netted 17.40mm opened up! The car was a stock internal/turbo with full bolt ons and BYT tune. The second we took it for a test drive the owner commented on how much smoother and faster the turbo spooled, gains could also be felt duing the first pull, granted this was a "butt dyno" real dyno numbers will be comming shortly, just thought id share, since the only porting ive seen people do on here were gasket matching, which IMO is horrible because it leaves a huge step up into the factory intake ports, Plus this intake manifold was entirely ported, not just the intake runners like i have seen most do.

It's my car he did it too. Also got vavle cover an intake manifold painted. Looks great and am loving the throttle response. Definitely faster too. And I have a light tune that really needs to be changed. But great work and he works very hard. Thanks again SGM Tuning Concept.

I think the drop in tq will be very small seeing as this is a f/i setup, the intake did lose a small amount of air velocity, but the gains in raw CFM will way outweigh that. As far as pricing goes, PM me if your interested and I will get you a quote, if anyone would like to see more of my portwork check out SGM Tuning Concepts | Facebook And like us while your there! i am going to have some M62 porting results up very soon aswell.

What hes also failing to tell you is that he sent his parts to me almost 3 weeks later then we agreed upon, his parts were done and shipped and i offered to provide all paperwork from the shipment and he declined, Then we have been getting bombarded with weather here on the east coast(hurricane sandy). Sorry Nick, but a state of emergency is out of my control. So do not make me out to be the bad guy nick. Your parts are on there way and yet again i have ANOTHER tracking number.

you never return my text/ calls but as soon as I comment in ur thread u respond... I called u again this morning and u still did not pick up. I sent the parts to u sept 10 u recieved them a week later I know u busy as u are a one man business but going weeks without returning any of my messages just dosnt look good. Then u text me u sent my parts I was suppose to get them the 10/23, I asked u multiple times for a tracking number with no response from u untill I sent u a text stating I was disputing the money I sent u... Then u call stating it was sent to the wrong address clearly ur fault as I sent u the correct address multiple times( ive saved every text message and facebook message between us since day one). We talk and workout the issues that was on 10/29... Y said u would overnight the parts but hurricane sandy just hit so we made the agreement parts would be sent wednesday... U said u would call me with all the info well wednesday came and still no call so I called u and u text back u were headed to vegas would call when u landed to give details well its today 11/5 still no call or text from u and still no parts

i dnt think he has a issue with the storm everyone business minded or not can agree it was bad and really put alot of ppl back. Its more of a communication thing and not speaking or returning messages does look bad, I like to spend money but i hate wasting money so i can only imagine the feeling of sending out hard earned cash regardless of profession and think your getting the run around or the shaft. when all you want is a update, i dnt see how you can leave your business and take a trip without making sure your order has shipped and will arrive as intended I'm Just Saying.

^^^ this exactly... i know things come up family issues and other stuff that you have no control of but it dosnt take long to shoot someone a text or a phone call letting them know whats going on. the parts ive sent are off my car so ive been without a car now for over 2 months. i just want to get this resolved so i can have my car up and running again. It was frustrating for me to see you posting stuff while on vaca at the sema show while ive been without a car for 2 months waiting for my parts to be returned. i didnt want to do this but i saw no other way. our deal still stands as we agreed on through text message which i still have that is once i recieved all my ported/polished parts and bolt them on i will send out my spare LNF head to you.

Yeah, it honestly takes 3.2 seconds to send someone a text . . . maybe a bit longer, but. . . .
