some issues need help!

alright so i have a 08 ss/tc with some mods. 5th gear recently went on me and i had a a new trans rebuilt for me. but not reverse is really tough to shift into. 1st gear isnt to bad but a ltille stiffer then when i had it before, all gears shifted easily. also they said they were testing it to make sure all gears were good and were telling me about there research on the car cuz it is quick. they said a stock one comes at 12 psi. they told me mines at 30 psi. im new to all this so it didnt really ring any bells. but i been thinking about it and my guage only goes to 30psi and im thinking 30 psi might be way to much of a boost coukld that be affected by trans work being done. also when shifting the car bumps kinda like in first when your not giving it enoguh gas and it wants to stall on u like jerking is that bad or normal in the higher gears or what. im new to all this sorry for the newbie questions and thanks!

The bucking in first is normal. Not many can rebuild the f35 transmission.

Oh ok. Yea I just had a trans put in in November. I didn't want to risk a rebuild so I grabbed a used one from another member on here.

Unless you're turbo swapped you're more that likely not hitting 30psi. I know you wouldn't be holding 30psi on a stock ko4 turbo, might be able to spike to 30psi

Also never ever ever got WOT below 3.5k rpm. I generally don't go further than half throttle if I'm below 3.5krpm

If you dont have a smooth boost ramp, your trans will go boom again. Do you know who tuned it?

This is very important information when talking about transmissions. 30psi is possible with the ZFR 6258. WOT + WIDE OPEN THROTTLE aka pedal to the floor, never never below 3.5k and with the ZFR if there isn't a boost ramp you need to roll into the throttle a lot easier not slam it to the floor

This is also an important factor

a smooth boost ramp can be tuned for, but the tuner needs to know what they're doing.

Dont feel like an idiot you just bought a semi highly modified LNF

You would need to be retuned or do what ecaulk said and roll into boost. Dont just slam the pedal to the floor. Ease into it.

yeah man i dont blame you. there might be something else going on though because i havent really heard of anybody blowing 5th gear with a stock turbo let alone the zfr turbo that you have, its usually 3rd gear that goes haha. but yeah see what they have to say and then id go from there man

If you stop going full boost in 5th gear below 4k (~130 iirc) you'll save your 5th gear. Never never go full boost in 5th gear unless you just hit redline from 4th gear.

That being said, call ZZP get a tune scheduled and tell them you would like it a little conservative and would like to not have to replace the transmission again. They'll take care of the rest.
