I have the stock clutch in mine, it had the stage kit on it when bought and I tuned it at 3000 miles (wanted to give the car a bit of a break in before tuning it). The stock clutch held with no slipping until about 60K miles. I have turned down torque to 80% at 3K ramping up to 100% at 4.5K and the clutch doesn't slip any more and I have 80K on the car now. It is only a matter of time and I will need a new clutch but with the torque turned down I should be able to get another 40K or 50K out of it.
As to the torque levels I ran until it started slipping, I don't know for sure; I have never put the car on a dyno.

There about 600,000 threads on this and it really comes down to the driver.
There are weird freaks out there with 400whp/400lb ft + on the stock clutch, they boost ramp the tune, don't floor it under 3500rpms EVER and shift casually in 1-2 at 3500rpms instead of lower in traffic which REALLY does help.
I had a little 3rd gear slip, I started shifting from 1-2 2-3 at 3500rpms or so and never flooring under 3300-3500 and it hasn't slipped in a while.
I had TOB failure that took out my stock clutch at 60k. It didn't slip until that happened. (I know if was driver error, attempted a heal toe in steel toe boots and slipped, popping the clutch downshifting in second essentially)

interesting thanks man, mine does not slip yet at all but ive also never ever floored it under 3500, although i do shift 1-2 and 2-3 pretty low in traffic so ill make sure to change that. im sure driver and mileage are the biggest factors, right now i dyno'd 324/364 and when im upgrade a few things i was planning on going k04ftw but if i could run that for a while on stock clutch before upgrading that would be ideal. i will also upgrade tob when i do it.

Nathan had the K04r and now is on a 7163 that I tuned to 410hp and 400+tq and he's still on the stock clutch but the boost comes in slower and smoother on the 71

Im on my stock clutch still. Had the car for 6+ years. Tuned the car around 40k miles. Car now has 88k miles. No signs of slipping yet. I dont beat on the car either. It may be due to the fact that Ive had all seasons on the car for so long that the tires were giving out to wear before the clutch was. I have stickier tires on the car this year so Im sure thats about to change. Im hoping to get 100k before needing to replace the clutch.

the stock clutch is weird, it varys from car to car, some guys iv seen hold close to 400whp with theirs, some guys have thiers slip at 320whp. i was on aftermarket tune on mine for a few years and it held at about 315whp. i got new clutch because i had to get new motor so i threw one in cause i knew i would go big turbo.

I'm just wondering how long the stockers last on a lightly driven car. At 141k I haven't heard of any with more than mine on the original clutch. I had a friend with 300k on his stock clutch, but he had a base LT.

Took mine out at 90,000kM and it looked like it maybe had 25,000km?? left.
But I know my friend tracks his even more than mine, and is still going strong at 160,000km stock clutch
