agreed, that connection did not have a gasket as far as I remember. It was a ball joint and the screw tightened over the ball to secure it.

Is the yellow wire going into the hpfp have broken insulation? It sort of looks that way in the pic

I looked at it again and I agree. Yellow wire looks open. Wrap that wire in good electric tape. Not sure if you need to rewire it.
