I should have looked on LKQ or something. Oh well, it's comforting having a new engine. $1500-2000 comforting? That's debatable

Glad to see you stuck with the car ghostmechanic. The car is a beast at 25 psi when running correctly

I've hated this car for a long time. I honestly couldn't be happier. And I can't believe the night & day difference that pump makes with the brakes. I've tried several sets of brake pads & had to change the rotors a couple of times. It friggin stops now & the pedal effort is so much less & smoother now it's crazy.

By the way... when I talked about trading this car off I wanted to get a new Kia Optima. Our local dealer was running one of those push, pull or drag it in trade in ads. Since my integrity was questioned at the beginning of this thread.

I read your blog write up about this mess. It's partly why I was so pissed off in the beginning of my mess. I was never a GM fan to begin with. Then this **** happened to my car & I read how GM treated you... The anger started getting the best of me lol.

I would've gone the new engine route but I'm not only a tightwad, I was truly on a tight budget. Buying a used engine is always a gamble. I would rather have bought a new block & built the engine myself but there is no way I could've done it cheaper than what I ended up with.
