Like the title says I recently bumped the rev limiter to 9k to compete at the airstrip attack. I just got the engine back together and now runs fine... that is till I bounce it off the limiter to make sure it doesnt blow up at the track and then the CEL flashes, ENgine power reduced and then ENGINE disabled come on... I reset the codes with my interceptor, but the car runs fine otherwise, any one else running a high RPM LSJ that can chime in.

I thought the factory ECU could only read up to 8250. but I could be wrong.

the pcm is only capable of seeing 8192 rpm, although im not sure what happens above that. i know in other computers when you go above the max rated rpm its actually just going past the highest cells in the table, and some computers will extrapolate the values, others will just use the highest value.

i dont have enough experience with the p12 pcm to know what happens or if you go past the magical 8192rpm limit.

Is that code on the disable list in HPT?

Yeah it is but when i had it on my car the engine power reduced would still set, just the code didnt show.

hmmm still getting it unfortunately anyone else that can possibly help, I'm at the pikes peak airstrip attack right now and the car is not allowing me to hit the limiter or it goes into engine disabled mode. Kind of scary at 130
