belt tensioner problem. help needed

belt tensioner problem. help needed

i cant get the tensioner to loosen up. the open end wrench keeps sliding off! how else can i get the belt off to take my supercharger??

What size wrench are you using? Make sure you get it all the way on there, it doesnt really want to fit, you have to push it on there pretty good. Then just push it toward the back of the car.

Ya that is the right size. Just make sure its on there all the way. It took me a few times to get it on all the way before I could get it.

k i got it thx. i used a 9/16th, ya gotta pound it on there but it works like a charm.

I know you got it off but there is another way, take a torx bit and use the screw in the actual pulley to depress the piston. Or the Pulley Boys tool

When using an open ended wrench, it helps to use on thats squared rather than one that is rounded.

ok thx it's all been put back together since 1:15. i can feel a power difference. its nice.
