Yes, my thermostat was stuck 'open' so it was telling the coolant fans to run all the time because it was apparently reading hot or some crazy crap. My engine coolant never got above 160* when the thermostat was bad. I thought at first it was just the cold weather. but had it checked out just in case and sure enough, bad thermostat.

So i was talking to a GM mechanice yesterday about why my TVS coolant resevoir would empty out so quickly. He said it could just be a hose leak which to check I might have to take out the blower to check, it could be my intercooler, or my radiator. Any mechanics in the hoouse for this one?

Are you saying your problem only happened in cold weather? because thats what mine does and im trying to find out if its the thermostat or the ECM

How much coolant have you poured into the system? It will appear to be empty as the air bleeds out of the system, and you will need to keep filling it until it no longer goes down.
