Clutch Masters Releases Clutch for 2.0 SS

We just got off the phone with Clutch Masters. We have some good news; the Cobalt SS 2.0 SS/SC clutches are now shipping. They are available in 4 stages. Also, they have an aluminum flywheel available.

FX100 is an Organic disc that will hold 70% over stock. Retails at $645.
FX200 is a Kevlar disc that will hold 70% over stock. Retails at $775.
FX300 is a Kevlar disc that will hold 100% over stock. Retails at $775.
FX400 is a Ceramic disc, available in 4 or 6 pucks, which will hold 168% over stock. Retails at $745.

These do include the Slave cylinder and throw out bearing.

Flywheel is a light weight aluminum, which retails at $475.

Everyday low pricing will be 5% under retail. However, we have 2 options for you:

Option 1 if you purchase a Clutch Masters Clutch and a Clutch Masters Flywheel we can get you 3% off our everyday low price.

Option 2 would be to do a Group Purchase. The % off the website price would be as follows:

4+ Clutches would be 5% off the everyday low price
7+ Clutches would be 7% off the everyday low price
10+ Clutches would be 10% off the everyday low price

Every Flywheel counts as ˝ a clutch on the above table. For example, 2 clutch and flywheel combos, would at 3 clutches to the above table.

Shipping is $25 per Clutch and $15 per Flywheel.

what are the difference besides material? they both are 70% over stock?

also were do we get the throw out bearing and such GM?

I'll probably be in on this!

what are the comparison from spec (stage 1,2,3?)

Clutch Masters include the slave cylinder and throw out bearing, unlike SPEC.

I would actually say SPEC stage 2 is about the FX100, SPEC stage 3 is about the FX200, SPEC stage 3+ is about the FX300, and SPEC stage 5 is about the FX400 (both ceramic).

These are just our opinions. This is not stated in any chart of any sort, by any manufactures.

You can get them from a GM dealer, but if they are anything like the J-Bodies, they were over $300 for the slave/TOB alone!

Higher clamping force on the stage 3. Holds more torque, doesn't cost any more to produce. Just wears a bit faster (nothing to speak of) than the stage 2.

Correction, Fidenza is 8.00 lbs. Good to see other companies come out with clutches. It's nice to actually have options when it comes to clutches now.

Also, just curious, does clutchmasters offer a "lightweight" option to their clutches? I'm in the market for a clutch and flywheel now.

I would suggest the FX300 for most applications, buy it once and be set for the future mods.

Clutch feel on all 4 Clutches is almost identical to stock.

Well by the % above, as how Clutch masters rate their clutches:

FX100 and FX 200 would be about 340 lb ft torque

FX300 would be about 400 lb ft torque

FX 400 would be about 535 lb ft torque.

Clutch masters does not currently offer a light weight option like SPEC does. So there are pros and cons to each.

No problem, I'm just weighing them out. As far as the torque ratings that you quoted above, those are at the flywheel, not the wheels, correct?
