aftermarket intake question

Ok I bit the bullet and am now a proud owner of a SS/red. Well, now I took an indepth look under the hood and had a quick question. When they come out with aftermarket intakes, I noticed there is really no room for a filter if they come out owth a short ram air intake. Does this mean that I can only go with a CAI, not that that's bad but I don't really want to worry about taken the fender apart to put it in. A short ram air is easier. U guys should know what i am talking about. Do you think they will make a short or just a cold????
