It T's to the Vacuum solenoid, which T's to the Lower CP and the Intake manifold.

Why not just pull the BPV line out and run it to the BOV? Was that causing an issue for you?

Oh, and what size is the vacuum line so I can buy some now.

it worked for awhile with my stock lower CP. but once I switched to the ZZP one it would flutter really badly and then it wouldn't close. This is when I was using the yellow spring in my Forge unit.

I believe it was 3/8 vacuum tubing but I'm not 100% sure.

I want to do it, but I need to see it and clearer instructions.
I would rather do it now while the car is on jackstands.

Shitty drawing but

Delete the two red X's and then run a vacuum hose from the Vauum bypass solenoid that faces the front of the car, to the intake manifold.

Sooooo, basically, you unhook both lines that go to the vacuum tank and hook them together?

You just run a single line from the tip of the solenoid, the line that goes to one end of the vacuum tank, directly to the intake manifold. You'll only need maybe 6" of tubing.

Isnt that what I said?
You just remove the tank and connect the two spots it used to hook to together?

Pretty much.

Just run a vacuum hose from the Vacuum solenoid that faces towards the front of the car, to the intake manifold.

Done.

Hey guys, searching around for the best info here and it really seems to be all over the map. Running forge bpv now, want something louder so I picked up a dejon pipe with HKS SSQV on it.

Rakes says MAF relocate not necessary. Thoughts?

What is the best setup to run for block off? t fitting to keep stock bpv? I feel like one says another, next person says opposite, and I haven't seen an agreement on a happy medium.

And as far as this whole flutter/surge bit, how do you tell the difference? Especially with a louder exhaust. My forge does that a lot and I think it has the wrong spring. Just want to know what the deal is between the two, you look on the internet for an answer and theres just a million 18 years old fighting over opinions.

Spent some time searching, read through the whole dejon install thread about how all the guys are running a t and filter and are totally fine. Then others so no way and talk about rich spikes.....Whats REALLY the deal?

James is not tuning my car but has been helpful with clutch/tuning questions.

I had the "honor" of meeting Rakes at SEGME last year. Wow is all I can say.

Any car that uses a maf you want the blow off before the maf. If it is after the maf you are venting metered air. The ecu has already calculated it and is adding fuel for it. You'll get rich spikes on shift. In extreme cases you'll see stalling.

So is this like a new discovery? Threads and threads of guys without a maf relocate or retune ive just read....With no issues?

No new discovery. Us Z31 guys have been plagued by this for a few decades. I just converted mine to a blow through setup and eliminated all the issues.

You can leave it where it is. It may not be a big enough deal to bother you. I'd just sooner do it right and avoid the issues.
