Thanks for the reminder!!!

Mine only does it in the summer. Mostly during triple digit weather.

Gotta another problem and have been searching for answers to no avail. I got the Vibrant Oxygen Sensor Defouler and had my mechanic put it on during and oil change. He told me the 02 sensor wire would be too short to reach the defouler once it was installed. Is he wrong??? Coz No One Else in the threads I read said they had this issue.

I ended up having to do the same thing. Cleaning the TB and MAF sensor with MAF cleaner helped like a charm but it was still acting up. I ended up replacing the sensor and fuel filter now she purs like a kitten.

Please help me!!! I cant figure out what the problem is with my 2007 LSJ SC

So I'm having a problem with my car at*idle*and WOT. I normally run 16.5psi at WOT and I am only pushing between 4-5psi at the moment. At idle I'm leaning out and misfiring randomly on all cylinders. I changed the*MAP*Sensor because it was faulty and it didn't fix the problem. I changed the bypass valve hoses and its not leaking from there. Idk what it could be. Any ideas?

I'm having the same loping idle with mine, but it stalls out after running a couple minutes and when i hit the gas. I cleaned my TB (which was dirty) but that didnt seem to help the issue. Its not throwing codes and I have no idea what is going on. I am a mechanic and work on it at the shop i work at and I've tried everything i can think of but I can't get it right. any thoughts?

Is it possible that someone link me to a video or at least pics of a How-To for this? Would greatly appreciate it. If it's already been posted in this thread, sorry. Just don't have time to search through 20 pages of posts for it.

Unbolt intake pipe, disconnect clip for the throttle body, unscrew throttle body, hold open after spraying with throttle body cleaner and wipe out all the gunk you can, that's really it besides bolting it back on and making sure you connect it.

Problem is I'm not mechanically inclined, so I'd have to find out how to unbolt the intake pipe and disconnect the throttle body.
I know, I know..
Would appreciate video or pics if anyone has any.

remove air intake tube use throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush
holding throttle plate open

this only cures hunting idle

At 70k my throttle body on the SS/TC was pretty clean. I wouldn't worry about it. My LS was much worse at 50k.

I'm well beyond 115k at this point. lol
I'm tired of paying for maintenance work at stealerships & shops, so I'm trying to learn to do this on my own. My car refuses to kick into boost in 1st gear, and I'm assuming it has to be a dirty throttle body that's doing me in.

Getaway driver-

This is a decent video on what you could do...The only reason some people see this as an issue is because you are pushing the carbon deposits into the engine.

But if you get a routine like... me and Baron420... then this way will work good for you since it shouldn't be that dirty since you stay on top of it.

I was having the idle bouncing issue as well and cleaning out the TB worked. It smoothed it out greatly, unless I want to use the A/C. Before it would almost stall, now it doesn't stall but still a 600-1500RPM bounce when I get to a stop. Loud as hell exhaust just exaggerates the idle bounce sound. I bought the car used and have no idea what was done to it, but whomever had it, spent some money on it. It has a 2.8 pulley so I assume different injectors would be needed, but cant verify atm if they are different. I plan on getting numbers off of them to see. It does have a cold air intake but I don't know who's. That is the only thing that really bothers me, well besides the high rise spoiler flapping away as I drive.

Did this today and totally fixed the issue on my LSJ. I am having a higher than normal idle now but that should eventually go away. THANKS!

I cleaned out the throttle body and the only thing it gave me was a cleaner tb. It helped a little, but its especially noticeable now that its cold. It surges up and down till it warms up a bit, then it settles

Mine would

Mine would do the idle bounce in the cold (would sometimes even opush it into reduced power mode) but would be fine once the car warmed up, cleaned the TB out and haven't had a problem since

Was bored today, so decided to pull my Throttle body off. Cleaned it up, started her up and idle was perfect. =p

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this! The bouncing idle was driving my crazy! Not to mention stalling out every time I stopped... Worked like a charm though!
