Faulty MAF sensor from CAI would be my guess. It doesn't take much moisture to ruin them.

I havent really been having idle problems with my 05 until today when i put a cold air intake on and it threw a P0068 code (MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Correlation), idle drops every once in a while but when i throw the code while driving "eng pwr reduced" comes on and the car limps and hardly goes!! any idea on how to fix that??

Sorry for the late respose. Hopefully you figured it out but if your car is saying Engine PWR reduced, turn your car off right away.

I get that eery once in a while and i get a p1516 code too which is for throttle position sensor. It essentially the sensor in th gas pedal.Change that and you should be golden.

Cleaning CIA tubing

I havent tried cleaning the TB. However i just did a motor swap about 2 weeks ago on my lt. (Original motor was locked up) so when i was putting in the new 2.2 i had to switch over the TB because the one attached to the donor motor was a cabled TB (off an 06 ion) while moving over the TB i had already cleaned it and there was ALOT of residue on it, i also cleaned the filter thinking the oil was from the K&N typhoon filter, however i never cleaned out the tubing from the filter to the TB. Perhaps we should clean the piping as well as the TB and vacuum line??

Any Thoughts?

Also when i cleaned the TB while doing the swap, the car started and ran perfect w no idle issue. After 2 weeks of being a daily it started having idle issues, dad thought it was dirty injecters, didnt notice too much of a difference after a tank of 93 and a bottle of sea foam.

Did you move the butterfly valve in the tb by hand when you cleaned it? You probably damaged it if you did.

Ive seen so many people say that and it is so not true. I could sit there and move the throttle blade on mine back and forth for hours and the car will run fine everytime.

When i drive i have great throttle response. When i come to a stop it idles perfectly, its just when i start the car. Doesnt matter if its sat over night or i turned it off to grab a bite to eat. Once i start up itll idle fine for about 10-15secs then the rpms get lower and lower. If i hold the throttle at 1500-2000 rpms for a few seconds itll idle fine and wont have any issues till i shut it off again.

No codes? Sounds like its only doing it in closed loop. Unplug the primary o2 and see if it still does it.

Next on my to do list, it does have check engine light on. I did a motor swap about 2 or 3 weeks ago, never took the car in to had the codes deleted. Gonna do that tonight.

I am going to have to try this. Goldilocks just got out of the shop for a wiring issue and now she is fluttering when I am in gear and slowing down. She would drop from 1000rpms to 500rpms and almost stall out. I was afraid it would be my fuel pump. Definitely trying this first!

It ended up being my upstream o2 sensor. Changed it and now its running fine. Also changed my MAF sensor. Cleaned the TB first but didnt help, so changed the MAF then nothing changed. O2 sensor helped alot. Still have check engine light after disconnecting battery so still need to find where else im having issues. Probably downstream o2.

Exhaust manifold

Mine was a crack down the exhaust manifold! Coming to a stop slows the motor allowing fresh air in straight to the O2 sensor resulting in the computer dumping fuel in the other side. I bought JB weld extreme heat for $9 seems to be running good for now.

if you haven't done this yet you should. I did not have my engine ever stall, but did I notice in stop and go traffic once in a while the rpm's would dip when coming down, then once in a while shutter very slightly when sitting at a stop for a while, it was never consistence or concern of some major issue. during summer heat with a/c on in stop and go traffic did noticed the dipping more then ever and on two different days it dipped the rpms down to 450 or so. I got the car with 100K miles on it, and I am fairly certain it had never been cleaned. as when I took it apart the build up was thick, very thick...I removed the throttle body and resorted to using a old credit card to scrap the carbon build up off, then two tooth brushes and 4 cans of throttle body cleaner. after about 2 hours, it was spotless, I then cleaned the intake portion of the supercharger. never thought it ran poorly but when it put it back together it runs like I never heard, silky smooth, and idle increased about 150 rpm's. now no matter the load, it has yet to shutter, or have the rpm's dip. easy and a huge difference.
