75mm / 2.95" ~ 22.5 psi
80mm / 3.15" ~ 20 psi
85mm / 3.35" ~ 17.5 psi
89mm / 3.5" ~15ps
Stop worring about psi, and make power!!!

I dont even look at my boost gauge anymore other than at idle.

They scream with a small pulley. It just a different kinda whine than the M62.

I don't think I ever had a boost gauge on my car with the TVS on it. I would check the logs once in a while but that's about it haha. Rice, remember with a ported head and cams your boost will be less than when that chart says on stock head. Even just exhaust size can make a huge difference. I never saw above 23-24 lbs on a 2.6". Just too many variables and the only you should watch boost is to make sure there isn't a restriction or make sure your bypass isn't failing.

BTW, my TVS on the 2.6 screamed like a bitch, it was loud and awesome lol.

damn whats done to that redline? 400+whp on TVS hasn't been too common. Thing sounds awesome.

I'm hoping for 400, but I know that wont happen on the blower alone. That's what the n2o is for haha.

Im 2.2l/10:1, so high 300s on blower shouldnt be out of the question. pretty much identical mods as Rice. not sure how the extra stroke and compression will affect peak power, but the torque curve should be gnarly

Made 370whp/292tq. Tweaked with the tune a little and maybe had a tiny bit more after the dyno, but nothing big. It ran strong. Only thing that was weird was that the boost would peak at 24 lbs at like 5500 and fall to 21 psi by 7500. Pretty sure my cams played a role in that since boost kept climbing to redline on the stock cams, and the same blower is on my friend's car on the 2.7 now and it peaks at redline. My fastest track time was on the stock cams and 2.7" as well, but when I went on the 2.6 the track conditions were pretty poor.

That motor is in my gray car now, so I may do some runs on the dyno when I get mine, then swap cams back to stock to compare.

I am so slow today haha

Southeast MI

As of right now the car is blown up. longtubes back and intake manifold out. tuned and 75 shot.

general parts pile for the build as of right now:
-gen 2 block
-lsjion ported head
-perf autowerks valvesprings
-zzp s2 cams
-eagle rods
-weisco pistons
-oem hg
-full 6 rib swap
-TVS
-zzp im spacer
-zzp stealth h/e
-zzp radiator
-zzp dual pass (we'll see how it goes)
-option B
-fidanza flywheel
-AEM e85 320 pump
-oem main and rod bearings
-ottp longtubes
-zzp catback
-HPTuners
-most of the gaskets/ rad hose/ brackets etc. for a full lsj swap
-full n2o setup. dual bottle, window switch, warmer, gauge, etc
-wotbox

I'm probably forgetting some stuff, but that's the gist of what I have in the pile.

Need to decide on a clutch, and then everything goes out for balancing.
I have 80's now, but was originally planning on m62. I'm looking into some 1000's now, and getting a return system setup.

Other than that its just odds and ends I need to pick up. misc sensors and bolts. the stuff that is going to bankrupt me haha. timing kit

Yeah I meant where in MI lol. You're not too far from me. You Rollie and Adam should caravan down to my next dyno day if you're ready by then

I'm hoping it's done soon. I've been collecting parts for 2 years now, and every few months I decide to man up and take the next step haha. went from wanting a n/a build and n2o to 11:1 m62+n2o, and now 10:1 tvs with a small shot. If it's done, I will definitely be down. If it's not, I will probably catch a ride with someone and come anyway.

I'm still trying to figure out how I am supposed to tune this turd once it's all said and done. I'm lucky enough to have a 2.2 supported by hpt, but I'm not sure how close I can translate a base tune from a similar lsj, cough cough Rice haha. I'm hoping I can get it pretty close, but on a fresh engine/clutch, I'm worried about getting a drivable base tune asap to break everything in. I've never had this issue before, but I still have time to get it figured out.

The added displacement and compression from your 2.2 will make more power build it better then a stock 2.0 LSJ.

Oh yeah the break in 400 mile drive on a base tune was the worst nailbiting couple hours of my life lmao! Sounds like an awesome build dude, so many great things happening with this platform lately. Are you gonna look into solid lash adjusters like mrb has been suggesting?

haha it's almost identical to your build. I was amazed when I saw your cotm thread. even the perf werks valvesprings on black friday...

as of right now, I need to get this turd running. I'm not looking to set records or anything (obviously), so at this point I just want it on the road.

In the future, maybe. As of right now, most likely not.
