coil packs

How can you test to see if the coil packs are bad?

measure the resistance in ohms on each coil they should all be the same

May I ask how you do that? A test light or something along that line?

Buy a volt/ohms meter. Advance has them for about 14$. I looked in the service manual for the required resistance and couldnt find it so all I can suggest is you look for a uniform number across all 4 coils.
