I've got a 2.2 tensioner and a 2.2 alternator. My belt comes in tomorrow. Is the 2.2 the same as the 2.4?

you can do the swap in about a day if you already have an oil pan with a bung welded onto it for the oil return. and yes its pretty simple everything has a place to bolt up to. just dont think to much into it and confuse your self lol.

Thanks man. I read a little about your build, what type of bung should i get welded onto the oil pan? I'm going to get it welded in this week sometime.

i think everything is just a matter of knowing what ur doing and having everything ready. in my case we pretty much did it in a day, except that it was a weekend and i didnt have anything ready for my water lines haha. everything else went great.

oh and on top if that when i was mountingthe turbo i fucked up one of the bolts hahaha. so just to take it off took us aload of time since we had to take the manifold and turbo off again lolz and fails haha

Awesome. I'll order the galley fitting tonight. I really appreciate the advice guys. It's a really big help. One more question tho, I got an alternator from the junkyard. It's the 2.2. I don't have the male pigtail an I was told I would need to hard wire the 2.2 pigtail into my factory harness. Is this true? And do I need the bolts for the 2.2 alternator or will my existing one work.

Not sure about the harness I used my LSJ alternator.. The bolts from the LSJ will not work unless you have a 1" steel spacer between the head of the bolt and the alternator. LSJ bolts are 1" longer due to the tensioner bracket.
