I would go turbo if I had the money, but I think i'd push the limits of a S/C first. Plus cops round here hear a BOV or spooling they are on you like stink on ****..... now for some reason they don't give a **** about the blower. odd. They used to love my old 2G GSX with big front mount, and greddy BOV, and open dump.

IMO it takes alot of work, time, and more money to really get to max 300whp on an m62. With turbo the least your will make is between 315-330whp just to start. then its just a matter of turning up the boost and some tunning and done. so i think its just better to save up the money and go for it, i mean its everyones choice unless you really like the blower..

what alternator, tensioner, and belt do i need for my turbo swap? im keeping my A/C.
i happen to already have a tensioner from a 2.4.
i see ZZP sells a turbo swap kit for this belt drive assembly swap but i could prob get the **** cheaper separate and get a core charge for my original alternator

If i'm in a position to drop 3k or more on a turbo swap i will. In the mean time I'll be picking up the little odds and ends to go for 300hp. I have a 2.7 already, highflow DP, and header. Just need 80's, gauges, and a good dyno tune. I'm dealing with a fail dealership over getting my simple motor swap done right, so a ZZP s2 may be in the works paid for by insurance.

This doesn't include the guages I had to buy b/c I was a douche and didn't prepare properly. Here's my "build" thread:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...-story-240486/
Problems:
(1) First problem came when I started with the wrong parts. I bought a HAHN turbo manifold (beautiful piece of artwork) that ended up being for a 2.2 j-body ecotec. FUUUUUUUUUU. That was a real hit to the nuts. Had to order a part from ZZP (along with some misc. stuff) while it was on backorder. EFIN FUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Had to sell the beautiful manifold to some wet-back in Mexico City just to get my money back. Double-EFFIN FUUUUUUUUUUUUU.....
(2) Next came the dreaded fuel pump recall...my car had it, but for some reason my car's VIN was not part of the recall. FUUUUUUUUU. Thankfully, my crafty buddy at Kratos Koncepts jerry rigged something that works perfectly.
(3) Then came the issue with the replacement throttlebody bolts I bought. They weren't from GM, so as we were tuning, I went WOT and some how two of the bolts were chilling in my wheel well. Created one interesting lean condition....FUUUUUUUUUUU.
(4) Now I'm dealing with a smoking issue...but thanks to rob (usmcp), I'm reworking my pcv system so that I can hopefully get the issue resolved. Otherwise, I will need a restrictor and fix it that way. Either way, this problem plus problem no. 3 means that all tuning is at a stand still.
Anywho, I will be installing a boost controller as well during the down time.
Future Plans:
Internal work (pistons, rods, maybe port the head, or just buy one and build it) and crank the boost to over 25psi. Then after I run that sum-bitch down, I might switch over to a BW...but that's a wish list that comes with everything else (engine and then some).
Pics, vids, and other **** can be found in my "build" thread. Or you can just friend me on FB and you'll see my photography there.
