P1071

CEL code comes on and off saying bank one system too lean. I've done plugs, fuel filter, air filter, and ran a octane booster to clean the jets. Even though I now get 27 mpg the light remains to come and go. I've replaced the main O2 sensor that's upstream so now I'm guessing I need to go with the downstream one. The car doesn't seem to bog or die at all making me feel the code is useless yet I have inspection coming up and don't feel like throwing all the money to make every thing new. Please help

Check fuel pressure, check for vac leaks. If you're an lsj check the hose coming off the bypass valve on the supercharger they have a tendency to crack. Spray throttle body spray by the fuel injectors and around the intake manifold..

How is your air filter I got this error right
After buying my car. The filter was filthy and soaking wet
Bought a CAI because the filter box had damaged mounts and CEL went away within 15 minutes driving

My mechanic took it apart and cleaned it bec he thought that was the issue so we replaced the filter and the casing around it was fine so with the new filter it went off and came back two days later and the filter is still clean 3 months later
