Large edit. Found exhaust leak. Sealed my compressor hose into the exhaust pipe and blew air in. Found out the hardware I was using to hold the exhaust manifold wasn't crushing the gasket well enough to get a seal. Problem solved. On to tuning!

It's going real well man.

Went through a lot of trouble shooting a few weeks back. Then personal life happened. About halfway through tuning it here now. Hoping to have it fully tuned this weekend.

I'm at the point in my life where it's wedding season, so I've been out of town for one thing or another most weekends so tuning has been the longest part of things so far. I've got VE dialed in, and I'm closing in on MAF now. Dealing with an issue where when I get a bit higher in MAF frequency it's so far off that the computer's been saying "F this" and throwing everything into reduced power mode, so I've just been taking my time. Like I said, end goal is to be tuned this weekend, if not, by this time next week.

Got any vids of yours? I've been curious to see how it sits now that it's back together.

Nice runs man. That thing looks quick.

It's supposed to rain pretty bad this afternoon so I left it inside today.
Hoping the weather will hold out tomorrow so I can finish the tune and drive it around the way I want to already.

Soooo a bit of an update. I've had a hell of a time trying to tune idle. Almost seemed like I had a vac leak. Just a constant idle hunt I couldn't tune out. I finally found it..... Unfortunately.

So I was checking all the vac lines, and connections today and just thought about checking the seal around the intake manifold. Sprayed some soapy water around it and bubbles. I started checking all the bolts and (1) was a bit loose. So I grab the wrench to tighten it up. It spins, and doesn't seem to be grabbing any more threads. The bolt hole in the head is stripped. Not a very happy camper.

I've got (2) options. I can take it somewhere and have the hole re-tapped with a larger thread. I don't have the time or patience to re-tap it. Plus tapping has always been one of my weaker skills. But at that point it would probably cost the same for me to pick up a used head. That's the second option. If I do that, I may as well have it ported/polished, throw some cams in and put stiffer valve springs in. If I go this option, the car probably won't be on the road until early next year, which doesn't make me too happy, but it would put me one step closer to my end goal. I guess I could also helicoil it as well.

Thoughts guys?

So this car's gonna be the death of me.

Was tuning once I got the intake manifold sorted out. Got it to drive pretty smooth, but couldn't get it to idle well for the life of me and was couldn't dial in fueling for wot. So I started monitoring misfire. Found some on cyl. 1. Swapped the plugs and the injectors around, and lucky me the misfire follows the injector. So I'm now in the market for injectors, cause I'm not going to try and tune out a leaking injector.

Here's my question. I know everyone loves the ID1K injectors. Should I go that route or just go 160#? Pro's and cons to both?
