Directly from my insider with GM. I got a hold of the ECM pinout for the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2L. :supz:

No thanks needed. Did this for the 2.2L Cobalt owners. No I will not be spilling my guts on how I got it either. Sorry just some information is best kept private.

You should think about sending this to Hahn, Garrett, Banks, HP Tuners, etc

I'm sure Hahn has it, and Banks, and Garrett, and HP Tuners.

There is no big secret to this information. I get print-outs of detailed repair manual instructions all the time from my dealer. In fact, here is what I'm working on now...

I have the pin-out diagrams for the L61 and LE5 ecm's I'm doing some of the preliminary comparison work to see if a harness can be made to adapt the LE5 ECM to the L61 harness in the car. I would make a bench test harness, would need to get a hold of a CAL file for the L61, convert it to .bin for HP Tuners to use, and then see if I can flash the LE5 ECM with the L61 program. It'll be a while however.

How would you go about bench testing it with out having inputs from all the sensors, wouldnt that give "false" information since its not "real world"

I have already looked at switching an L61 to the Cobalt SS/SC computer. Its really involved, like switching every wire, adding a connector, and installing a SS/SC head with cam sensor. I dont think you can use an SS computer because its looking for and attempting to change the cam timing.
