Clutch is here and beastly, decided to switch to a softer dual valvespring, and am having the head tapped out to m8.

Been lazy and haven't taken any pictures.

Should be another week or two before the bottom end is done

Havent done much or posted pictures in a while, but I managed to test fit one of the seats yesterday. I also pulled the head unit out of the dash and organized some of the stuff I have been pulling.

Car is a mess. The fatmat has been proving itself a worthy adversary

Still waiting on my shortblock. it's killing me

Haven't really done much, which is why I haven't updated this.

I've had my clutch for a while, but snapped a picture of it. I had a finanza and sold it for the spec, and they look identical haha. Oh well. Omiotek had mentioned that he has seen a lot of fidanzas fail, so I played the safe route.

I snapped a few other random pictures, because I'm bored.

And an extra random

It's been pushed back a few times already. Last update was 2 weeks ago and it was "two weeks" lol. I'm not mad or anything, just getting impatient. I dropped it off Feb 28th

I've got the rest of his interior haha. And he's over on the east side of the state. Not too bad of a jaunt from Grand Rapids.

I'm in Oakland county.

And the interior is staying out. I have pretty optimistic weight goals, and have been nickel and diming the pounds

Gbrunner has seen the **** pile in all its glory haha

I decided that I am going top get one thing accomplished every day. Big or small.

I got a late start tonight, so decided to do something simple...

I had already deleted the AC lines, but hadnt addressed blocking off the firewall port.

I started by cutting off the line ends at the firewall union

My original plan was to use a rubber cap on the lines, so I cut the lines off with some neck still attached. I used a pipe cutter to get a clean cut.

The narrow line had this screen inside of it

I then realized that I didnt have any rubber caps (lol), So I went another route. I cut the lines off flush with the plate. I used a vise and a hacksaw to get a straight cut

Cleaned up the edges and cleaned the shavings out...

I needed something to plug the holes with, and tossed around a few ideas. I ended up with these expanding "nutless" screws. Not sure what the exact name is, but they hold windsheilds onto the fairings of Harleys. As you tighten them, they compress and expand the rubber boot.

Not perfect, but they do the job. I thought about putting some silicone on them before torquing them down, but they seem to be in there tighter than a nuns hoo ha. I pus a screwdriver in through the back, and couldn't get them to budge. They wont be holding pressure, just keeping dirt out.

Installed.

I think this is the most pictures Ive taken of a project, and it wasn't even anything major haha. If all goes as planned, I should have at least one update per day from now on.

Nice! Why do that though are you planning on possibly going a/c again one day? And did you wind up gutting your compressor?

Where we are going, we don't need A/C

And the compressor has been gutted for a year. I might end up just running the 2 bolt pulley piece
