2.2l LT mods?
Just got rid of my 06 ls. Just picked up this 2007 LT. I have exhaust, and a cold air intake on it. Heard something about a hp tuner for the 2007 but can't find it anywhere. In the future I will be getting the zz performance turbo kit, but for now I wanna make it as fast as possible. Bigger injectors, tune, header, downpipe, forged pistons for the turbo in the future, anything else I could improve on?

Id recommend to invest in a le5 motor first. and turbo it.

I've seen people boost the 2.2 and they ended up being pretty quick. If I got the le5, would I have to upgrade engine internals or just boost and tune it? I would love the 2.4 but at that point I'd be spending damn near 6 grand but the long run it'd be worth the wait.

You just buy hptuners. It isn't vehicle specific, but it does only support certain cars. You won't need bigger injectors, especially on gasoline. If you end up buying hp tuners then PM me and I can help you tune so you don't have to pay someone for a NA tune. Booste tunes it's best to have your car remote tuned, but if you are gonna get the zzp turbo kit anyway they will send you a tune file via email

I guess it depends on the power you want to make, the le5 came with forged internals and ppl
on here have experimented with them and they hold up comparably to the internals in the lsj and lnfs

I haven't found the hp tuner anywhere, is there a link. In spring I plan to swap with the le5 so I don't have to mess with tearing apart the 2.2, I read up on them and they're 2500 for a used engine. Still lower miles and boost ready. Plan is to get more power than a ss, sleeper.

That's the long term but for now I'll just be low and slow cosmetic spring time. It's just so much money to add power to these cars. This will get interesting when it comes time to drop the le5 in. Are you running a lsj on a 2.4 at 357? That's impressive man!

I just know people who beaten the crap out of the 2.0 and blew them up, I'm obviously not retarded like them. But on the other hand, I don't want to blow a load on something that'll be nothing but problems. That's my only concern

the tune and driver have a lot to with any newer car and it lasting a while lol. if the tune sucks and the driver is an idiot then you will def have failure lol. my car has 102k on it right now and i daily it and i had the porus block issue at 19-20k so ive had this motor now for 82k miles and shes still running great lol. spend the money wisely on good stuff and pay for a good tune and youll be good
