hey guys i have a generic question concerning cai systems. I have a friend who put a cai on a ford focus zx3 and i dont know if this was his fault or the cai, but its not mounted under the mud gaurd in the wheel well, and living in michigan, lets just say it doesnt run well in the winter. Now is the snow a concern when looking into cai, or is it mounted in a safe place on the cobalt?

Lots of people run them - just get a hydroshield.

It's like in the finder. If you find the "2.2 Airbox mod" thread its where the big resonator is. So yes it's covered but water could find a way to it.

No prob. I have the injen with the hydroshield and no problems. In fact I took an hour trip on the highway in rain today.
For the most part I hear hyrdolock is rare and really only happens if you drive threw a small lake lol

The GM performance Extrude Honed exhaust manifold will not work on Auto trans Cobalts, something about clearance... no clue what the issue would be..
