Piston tapped plug?!?!? Uggghhhhh

2nd week in a row. Car was making good power last week, probably but 50 laps on it and it did this. System wAs lean due to bad sensor, got all sensors and plugs changed . Car was making good power again, 2 green flag laps, same thing. #3 cylinder. Never over 7k. Same exact thing, two weeks in a row. Anybody got any ideas??

would it run good with a new plug? this one will run perfect, make god power, but pushing it a little harder on the track is when it happens. I'm figuring its a piece of valve or piece of rings

Not sure how bad, and I haven't looked in the bore scope, but compared to the others, the top of that piston appears kinda tattered Good one
Bad one

take an hour, tear the head off to confirm whats broken.

my guess is a shortblock. who knows where that metal is now. unless you want to just replace the pistons.

im kinda figuring the same. i mean, the idea of fixing it how it sets is out of the question imo. especially as hard as we push these. even a half azz repair is still gonna be semi expensive and a fairly large tear down. at least thats what I'm thinking anyhow

Mine did the same thing man. New plug, ran great, then closed the gap again. At the very least you need a new piston and rings.
