Short ram intake or Cold air??

Quick question...K&N short ram intake or Injen cold air intake? What is the difference in terms of HP gains? Are there any other advantages with one over the other?

short ram will have better throttle response...and CAIs are said to give more hp...though im not sure i believe that too much....if your moving, cold air is circulating into the engine bay....

your safe with the injen tho...the injen CAI can be set up as a SRI...so its basically both

And remember to go out and change it to short ram when it's raining hard so you won't suck up a puddle and splint the engine in half!

I got INJEN in my 2.2 and I love it. It floods really bad down here but if you avoid the pools and have a stock bumper you will be fine. Never had any throttle problems or water entering the tubing. Cold air intakes don't affect the throttle responce in our cars either since the throttle body itself is electronic, not cable.

I have had both and felt NO difference whatsoever.

Sounded no different either...and if you go SRI make sure you take out the ridiculous resonator seriously each time I do something to this car more plastic comes off of it

I used to wurry about that till I installed it.. the filter is way up behind the headlight.. you will need to submerge your hood before you get enough water in your intake to do any damage.. no offence and I'm not hatin on ya but in a heavy rain I think you will suck in more water than I will.....

exactly

not to mention if you go with INJEN you'd get your choice of what you want for the price of krappy K&N.

INJEN should have been your first choice no doubt
