Wideband o2 Stimulating Factory NB o2

I have amassed a bunch of parts for a previous project that got derailed, well got totaled. So I am taking a few pieces from that pile for this Balt. One being the WB o2 I have. On the previous project I was going to use a MegaSquirt so I didnt care about feeding data to the factory ECU but this car is just going to be the boring LSJ SC swap.

Since I plan on having the factory ECU tuned I need to pass along a signal to the factory ECU. Rather than welding in a second bung for the WB can I use the factory bung and wire in the WB's narrowband stim wire without causing issues? Has anyone ever done this or does everyone just weld in a second bung and call it a day?

In case it matters I have the Innovate LC1 with a Bosch WB sensor.

Thanks,
Tupp

I know the LC-1 can do it, but I haven't tried to personally.

The LC-1 controller is very fast and may give more accurate readings than the factory narrowband, but you'll most likely have to disable several codes relating to the sensor and heater. Functionally i'd bet the car will actually run better with the WB simulating the NB output.

Thanks for the input. In past vehicles I didnt care about the NB or the OBD because I would use a standalone. Previous to this vehicle I wasnt really modifying vehicles with much aftermarket support. Thankfully the Ecotec has fantastic support.

I have one of those OBD devices plugged in to the car all the time so I can run realtime gauges based off the OBD or clear codes. God the check engine light has always been that warm glow reminding me I am a tuner... lol It is going to be weird modifying a car and not having a SES glowing all the time.

i'm running a lc-1 simulating the NB input on my 2010 cobalt auto.

only issues i have is the engine light for the o2 heater (need to wire that so that it goes away)
other issue is only if the car has been off for a few minutes, the engine will stumble a bit as the o2 sensor warms up, but this could be a combination of how i have the lc-1 set up and that i don't have the o2 heater wired for the ecu

but it does also alow (limited) afr tuning by adjusting the switching point of the nb input. i've got mine set to switch at 14.0 seemed to like that the most
